We had a great stay during the holiday season! The team at the front desk was extremely accommodating to us and I look forward to staying here again.

10 Stars Across the Board. Marlene and Marshall are exceptional people. Both over the phone and in person they are super warm, welcoming, and overall truly fantastic at what they do. Marquis De Lafayette is pristinely clean, gorgeously decorated & so comfortable. Thank you Marlene & Marshall for making this holiday stay so nice with your marvelous hospitality.

******This review is a 5 star because of the room switch I was afforded. La Marquis de Lafayette Overall, this hotel offered a reasonable price for the stay. Rooms: This was my first visit, and I wasn’t aware there were both interior and exterior rooms. I initially stayed in an exterior room, which had been nicely renovated but had some drawbacks. The bathroom was incredibly small—so small that the sink was located outside the bathroom in the main room area. The shower was also very narrow, which could be uncomfortable for larger guests. I requested a switch and was moved to an interior room, and what a difference! The interior room was far more spacious and comfortable, making the stay much more enjoyable. I do not remember the young ladies name but she was fairly young with long blonde/brownish hair. She was EXTREMELY helpful which I much appreciated. View: The ocean view was absolutely stunning and one of the highlights of my stay. Lobby: The lobby was beautifully decorated and gave the hotel a welcoming, festive touch. Dining: I had breakfast at the adjoining restaurant/bar, and it was a pleasant experience with good food to start the day. Overall, I’d recommend staying in an interior room for a more comfortable experience. The ocean view and ambiance definitely made the stay worthwhile!

Get place to stay while on a budget. Hard to find a better price while still being able to wake up to an ocean view. And walking distance to so many local shops and restaurants. Definitely going to be staying here again next time I visit!

I booked on Expedia but needed to rearrange our vacation dates. One of the managers, Joe, was very accommodating. He was quick to respond, positive, and helpful. We are looking forward to the stay!

For me, the Marquis de Lafayette Hotel is a more upscale place to stay when I want to pamper myself. I love the heated pool and hot tub for relaxing. The suites are so comfortable and I prefer the kitchenettes so I don't have to eat out all the time. All areas are clean and well lit and comfortable to move through. I have always been treated well included having a full refund when I fell ill with bronchitis and could not go on my original dates. The fact that the rooms are entered from behind and your ocean front balcony is not accessed by anyone else but you is one of the best things about the Marquis! There are beautiful views of beach and ocean from almost every room and lovely views of town from the 6th floor hall. I have also stayed in the 6th floor suite which was super comfortable with huge totally private balcony with both town and ocean views. Having a restaurant and bar with food on site is super convenient.

Great location and friendly helpful staff. Lots of good eats within .2 miles, only 4-5 minutes from Washington Street. Great choice for my family of four with two young kids.

We had a wonderful 5 day stay at the hotel. Every employee was knowledgeable and pleasant. Our maid Karina did a fantastic job on our room always very clean. Mariela and Shane in the Barefoot Bar very pleasant. Marlene the Manager excellent at her job and so accommodating. Looking forward to our stay next June!
